This Strange World

  Hey! I guess this first post is going to set the tone on what this place is going to be. (And no it isn't going to be a visual tutorial on shitty 2002-era website design.)    That's what r/Ooer is for... Anyways, I like Twitter.  I like it a lot. But I also simultaneously hate its guts. Especially the way Jack Dorsey and his team of woke techies try to keep the platform "an unbiased safe space for all ideas from all different backgrounds." Like the time Twitter Legal sent me an email notifying me that one of my tweets had broken the fucking law. In Pakistan... You see despite what my exotic good looks, and explosive charm would have you think, I'm not Pakistani. Which means I don't have to follow Pakistani laws. I can retweet that same tweet all day, everyday and the Nation of Pakistan can't do shit about it.  Which is why I wasn't too upset until I did some digging around and found the penal code for the law I was being accused of breaking and rea

Jesus Christ.    I've been setting up blogs for about three years now, and never have I had such a hard time making a blog look the way I want it to. I've spent the last two hours trying to fix the theme, to no avail. Doing something as simple as changing the font sizes on posts has taken me ten minutes to figure out. And to be honest, I still don't even know if I'm actually doing it right. It would be helpful if the giant-ass preview on the side of the theme editing page would actually show you what you're currently editing, but no. I have to make changes, hit save, come out to the actual blog and reload the page. And 90% of the time nothing looks different. Those huge blank spaces on the sides of the page? I know they look terrible. I have no clue how to add shit to the sidebar. What used to just involve simple clicking and dragging is now something I'm going to have to watch a YouTube tutorial to figure out.  Good job making the site more "user-friendly

Oh hey, I'm Joe. I'm a political activist / IT specialist / failing musician. I guess I'm Ted Nugent if he went 65% tech, 35% music. And were way less good at guitar... I really like politics. Bu I often find that I have lots of opinions on politics that are less than politically correct. I don't have a hateful bone in my body, yet I've been called a reactionary, a nazi, a self-hating coon, a coward and many more things I had to look up to understand. I don't really identify as belonging to any kind of political party. Both major political parties (Guess what country I'm from!) make major fuck-ups and don't care about you or me. And the other parties...   Let's not talk about the other parties...   Anyways. News. Politics. Social commentary. Why should you care what I have to say?
